Dr. Jill Mork, DC, CACCP

Dr. Jill Mork grew up in a small town near Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She went on to attend UW Green Bay for her undergraduate education, where she focused on human biology, chemistry, and Spanish. She continued on at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota where she completed her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

My Chiropractic Journey

While in high school, Dr. Jill participated in a lot of sports. During her junior year, she experienced intense low back pain that forced her to sit out. After going to her medical doctor and getting various MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays, the medical doctor informed her that she had a herniation of a disc in her lower back. The doctor gave her medication after medication, with no relief. She had 2 rounds of cortisone shots in the lower back and tried physical therapy, all of which were ineffective. Finally, the medical doctor decided that surgery was the only other option. Being only 18 at the time, Dr. Jill believed she was way too young to be having back surgery. She had heard about chiropractic, but she didn’t really know what it was about, so she decided to give it a try. The rest is history from there. Shorty after beginning treatment, Dr. Jill’s low back pain disappeared and she was able to go back to playing sports. Since then, she has regularly seen a chiropractor to function at her body’s true potential. It was then that Dr. Jill knew she wanted to become a chiropractor so she could help people the same way that chiropractic helped her.

Dr. Jill strongly believes that many of these low back problems could have been avoided if she had been seeing a chiropractor from an early age. That way, her body would have been in better alignment when her injury occurred, resulting in less pain and dysfunction and a quicker recovery time.

Because of this, Dr. Jill is dedicated to seeing kids as early as possible. She has completed an extensive 200 hour program in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is Certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP). She loves working with children and is very passionate about beginning chiropractic care as an infant and continuing it throughout your lifetime in order for your body to function at its best.
